Web Watch: Cybersocket Awards

Cybersocket has given its Web site a makeover. The site, which has basically been a search directory for the past 10 years, is now more editorially driven. “Essentially, we are making the Web site its own editorial stand-alone product,” says president Morgan Sommer, who founded the site with Tim Lutz in 1998, following the start of the Cybersocket Directory in 1997 and Cybersocket Web Magazine in 1999. The magazine (in which we have been featured) has the largest distribution of any free gay publication in the United States. The site was redesigned by New York–based Envisionext and now includes comprehensive reviews of the best Web sites, affiliate programs and porn DVDs. The Gay Board message board, the Gay Pornucopia blog and the Cybersocket Web Awards are also featured.

And speaking of awards, nominations for the 9th Annual Cybersocket Awards are now open. Readers can vote in numerous categories, including Best Amateur Webcam Site, Best Hookup Adult Site, Best Mega Site and Best Adult Blog (hint). So feel free to head over to www.CybersocketWebAwards.com and cast a vote (for us!). For more information on the redesigned site, visit Cybersocket.com.
