Short Takes: Dirty Tricks on DVD…and More

Dirty Tricks is being released on a two-disc DVD set. The gay-porn sitcom was originally serialized for the Internet on NakedSword.com and garnered attention when it was revealed that one of its stars, Crazy James (left), was a house guest on the ninth cycle of the Big Brother reality show. “Crazy James was a natural-born performer,” producer Andy Fair says. “As soon as he walked into our offices, he was cast on the spot!” The 12-episode series, which was shot on location in New York City, also stars Damon DeMarco, Hunter James and Wolf Hudson and is available at DirtyBoyStudios.com.…PZP Productions has canceled its much-hyped parody of Mamma Mia. Director Peter Z. Pan, the creator of films such as Oliver Twink and Betwinked, says that he thought of doing a “cheapie” version of his planned Pappa Mio but didn’t want to “pull one over” on his fans. Instead, he will start a new series titled Twinks Finally 18, starring newcomer Zakk. “It will be a hybrid of hot twink sex, gonzo movies, bad reality shows and the campy PZP films,” Pan says. The first Twinks movie will be filmed this month for a February release by Marina Pacific.
