Short Takes: Jason Adonis Returns…and More

It turns out that all the talk is true: Porn superstar Jason Adonis (above) has filmed a comeback scene for COLT Studio Group. Director John Rutherford announced on his blog last week that Adonis has shot a solo for the Minute Man Series line that will be available online next month at COLTstudiogroup.com and then on DVD this summer. Adonis has previously appeared in movies such as Wet Palms, Through the Woods and Wash West’s classic The Hole and famously bottomed for Erik Rhodes in The Farmer’s Son. He has been absent from gay porn for a couple of years, but fans will be happy to know that he is still looking good!…Hot on the heels of the GAYVN Awards last month and before the Grabbys unspool in May, our blog buddy Marc Wynter has announced his very own COP Blog Awards recognizing the best in gay adult entertainment. Fans can vote in 14 categories created by Marc, including fun ones like Most Convincing Bottom, Most Creative Top, Best Hairy Performer (coughRJ Danvers!) and Best Photogenic Cock and Balls. There will also be a COP Blog Hall of Fame, which honors those performers who have made an outstanding contribution to the industry and still have broad fan appeal. Marc will make a donation in the winners’ names to the Trevor Project. “I decided instead of doling out trophies that I would do something different,” he says, “which could allow me to give back to the community and at the same time support a worthy LGBT service that has helped save so many of our youth’s lives in times of crisis.” Voting runs from now until April 30 at www.chroniclesofporniablog.com.…We’re hearing from our friend Andrew Rosen (below) that after many years he is ditching Los Angeles for a new gig. The award-winning editor and director of films such as The F Word and Code Violators—who has also appeared on-screen as his alter ego, porn star Andrew Addams, in numerous movies, including Trepass and Nasty Nasty—is moving to San Francisco to work for Raging Stallion. He will serve as an exclusive editor and director for the studio. “I’m looking forward to all the new experiences in San Francisco and to working with such a prestigious company,” Andrew told us this weekend. With RSS upping its production schedule, it sounds like a perfect match!

Andrew Rosen knows the business better than anyone. He'll be a great asset to Raging Stallion.
