Seen: Focus/Refocus Cast at SF Premiere

It was just last month that the cast of Raging Stallion’s year-end blockbuster Focus/Refocus celebrated the opening of the film at Chaps in San Francisco. Our friends at LavenderLounge.com were there to capture the fun. Seen (from top): Leading men David Taylor and Cole Streets; hairy Conner Habib, RSS photographer Kent Taylor and now-retired Antonio Biaggi; off-screen bfs Paul Wagner and Scott Tanner.

Now the cast and crew of the film noir epic have another reason to rejoice. RSS president Chris Ward has announced that the four-disc smash will be reedited into a special non-XXX version. This retail-friendly edition will be released on DVD by Breaking Glass Pictures on March 30.

Director Tony Dimarco (who co-directed the hard-core version with Ward and Ben Leon, the same team behind the multi-award-winning To the Last Man) says of the upcoming release: “I have been making heavily plot-driven films for years, and Chris suggested that we fully film a mainstream retail version of our XXX feature for general release. It was a great opportunity for me to express myself as a filmmaker. This is a very sexy mainstream movie.”

This is the first time that RSS has ventured into the nonporn side of the entertainment industry. Ward adds, “We shot Focus/Refocus with the idea that it could be reworked into a mainstream release. What surprised all of us was how excited the distributors were to get their hands on this movie. Obviously here at RSS, we are all proud that our work quality is now considered up to Hollywood standards!”

The edited version of Focus/Refocus will be available through all major retailers—just in case you guys are tired of watching hot porn studs sucking and fucking. For more information, visit RagingStallion.com.

Hey Vince,
So cool this news was to hear and it came at a very good time for me. I was having a particularly crappy day at work and then by the end of the day I received the Press release from Kent. I almost let out a loud cheer in the women's restroom at work I was so happy! I'm still going to buy the 5 disk set RSS has but I also have to pick up the non-XXX version. I've told my best buddy about this and his interest has been piqued about it as well. He's curious to see how this one plays out without the hardcore scenes. I can imagine it plays out to perfection! :-) It makes me wonder if this mainstream version is successful, whether a big screen feature will be in the offing? This must be so exciting for all involved and I can only imagine how Tony is feeling about it right now. Now this studio's hard work will be known to the masses and I couldn't be happier for them. :-)
Cheers,
~Betsy
