New Release: Inside Israel

How do you follow a smash hit like Men of Israel? If you’re superstar director Michael Lucas, you head back to the country that made it all possible. Lucas and his talented crew have returned to the promised land for Inside Israel, the latest epic in their international saga. This second movie showcases the vast terrain of the country and features an exotic 12-man cast from seven different countries across four continents. It’s packed with nine scenes, including six hard-core action scenes and three oral vignettes.

The story centers around a Spanish photographer (Bruno Jones), who is inspired by buddy Jonathan Agassi to rally his models and head to Israel to shoot more than just pictures. Some of the stunning locations include Ga’ash Beach on the Mediterranean Sea, a rooftop overlooking the streets of Tel Aviv, the lush waterfalls and forests of Banias in the Jordan River, the ruins of ancient townships near Jerusalem and the 4,000 year-old Luzit Caves. New Release: Love Addiction

Kristen Bjorn Productions sure knows how to write a press release. For the studio’s latest movie, Love Addiction, they ask: “How do we know if we have an addiction when it brings us such joy and pleasure? Ummm, interesting questions. In this new release, which weighs in at three hours and features 10 models, self-proclaimed sex addict Daniel Marvin undergoes therapy to get to the bottom of his love troubles. Shot in Buenos Aires, the film weaves a tale of sexual adventure that…wait, maybe the release says it best: “The following nine scenes will demonstrate that love and sex are expressed from the very tender moments to that of the hard-core leather and domination. Event: Gay Porn Lecture at MIX Festival 22

It’s time for film fans to mix it up once again. The New York Queer Experimental Film Festival (aka MIX Festival) is celebrating its 22nd year. Founded in 1987 by Sarah Schulman and Jim Hubbard, the annual event has presented the latest in queer experimental film and previously unseen works from legendary figures in avant-garde cinema. And this year, the festival is giving gay porn its very own night. This Saturday, November 21, at 8 pm, author Jeffrey Escoffier will host Bigger Than Life: Experimenting With Sex—Avant-Garde, Beefcake and Hardcore, A Porn History Show (Bigger Than Life is also the title of Escoffier’s excellent book about the history of gay porn). On the esteemed panel will be veteran directors Wakefield Poole (Boys in the Sand) and Joe Gage (Kansas City Trucking Co.) and Owen Hawk (really!?). There will be a lecture and clip show about the intersection of gay porn and experimental film. Sounds similar to this lecture we attended at the Center earlier this year. One of gay porn’s fuzziest stars had a birthday recently, and he came to NYC to celebrate. Yes, that’s Steve Cruz getting his birthday licks at a party at View Bar in Chelsea. Among the guests was fellow furball Mike Dreyden (below). According to Steve’s blog, he marked his 37th with friends and fans. Channel 1 Releasing has completed filming of Black Balled 7: Jail Slammed, the latest installment in the company’s best-selling series.
