News: Five (and We’re) Alive!

What do you give for a fifth anniversary!? Is it wood!? VincentLambert.com is still here, kids. Yup, we’re still blogging away as the industry burns around us. We kid! But it’s true—we’ve been typing about gay porn for five years now (on this site, though 16 years total!). The big biz goes up and down, and this year was no different. But first, a brief history of our history: We started year one with a bang (and the controversy surrounding our interview with Johnny Hanson about his decision to bareback); survived year two (this interview with Jordan Young from 1999 got picked up by The Insider when Lara Spencer was the host!); and year three (when we dined with both Simon Dexter and Jeremy Feist); then there was year four (we had the inside scoop on the Robert Van Damme arrest, including his first post-prison photos and interview, and Vince did guest spots on the Cock2Go Show and LA Talk Radio’s The Alternative to plug the site).

Now, in the past 12 months, we were back on the radio for The Barry Kirkey Show (one of our most fun interviews ever!); hung with our favorite talk show host for Gay Pride (how you doin’, lady!?); got exclusives with superstars Zeb Atlas and Jason Adonis (thanks, superagent David Forest!); saw (Randy Blue) stars at Splash; missed the hookers at HustlaBall NYC, but caught them at the International Escort Awards; and sadly reported the loss of this beloved porn star. Vince also branched out, becoming a (paid!) blogger for the fab GayDemon.com. You can read his full-frontal posts here.

And so it goes. As usual, we want to thank the readers and porn fans for visiting, the supportive fellow bloggers (the ones we still like), and the studios and publicists who supply us with their great content. Oh, and the porn stars too, of course. They give more than anyone! It’s our tradition to picture our dream man Rusty Joiner (above) each year. He still hasn’t given in, but we still think he Should Do Porn. Some things never change!

Event: Zeb Atlas at Adonis Lounge in NYC

The King has hit the road! We recently wrote about Zeb Atlas and his new movie. Now the bodybuilding superstar will be making a rare promotional appearance in New York City. This Wednesday, October 26, Atlas will join Manifest Man Vin Marco and more than 20 other models and go-go gods to celebrate the second anniversary of Adonis Lounge. Numerous porn stars have appeared at the all-male strip show that takes place weekly at Evolve (221 East 58th Street), including Jason Adonis, Brenden Cage and Billy Heights. The festivities will begin at 7 pm, and an exclusive Manifest Men photo shoot (open to the public!) will happen live from 5 to 7 pm. Atlas, who is beginning his 10th year in the industry, will be schmoozing with the crowd, signing autographs and plugging his latest film, Zeb Atlas Is The Boyfriend. You can also see him on his upcoming guest spot on the second season of Showtime’s Gigolos series.

So it was supposed to be the night that Jason Adonis made his co-hosting debut at Cocktails With the Stars at Micky’s in West Hollywood (as he revealed in our recent exclusive interview). Instead, the porn superstar abruptly retired from the industry (again…and for good!?). Who knows what the hell happened, but in his place, newcomer Tigris Wood (above) made a splashy debut last night, courtesy talent manager David Forest. Wood, who has yet to make a movie but will soon be shooting for Raging Stallion Studios, was also celebrating his 23rd birthday. Host Scotty B presented the personal trainer who hails from Egypt with a cupcake. Awwww. Also seen: RSS exclusives Tommy Defendi (below with Wood) and Jesse Santana; Casey Daniels (co-star of the new film Zeb Atlas Is The Boyfriend); Topher DiMaggio; Brandon Wilde; DJ and porn star Dominic Pacifico; and porn vets Damian Ford and Chris Green. Interview Exclusive: Jason Adonis

Look who’s back! Though if you ask Jason Adonis, he’s never really been gone. “I’ve been here all along,” the 30-year-old porn superstar told VincentLambert.com in an exclusive interview this week. Hot on the heels of signing his exclusive contract with Raging Stallion last fall, Adonis appeared in the award-winning film Brutal for director Tony Dimarco. Now, he’s returned for two new movies for the studio: Dominus, which features him topping Race Cooper, and its sequel, Animus.

“I always wanted to do a leather/bondage-type scene,” Adonis says. “And I have also never done an interracial scene, so as part of my new deal with Raging Stallion, I figured I would try and do some things I haven’t done before.”

Although Adonis, who is married and has a 12-year-old daughter, has been plagued by gay-for-pay put-downs throughout his 10 years in the industry, he says that he has never understood the labels. “I have always found those names weird and kind of tacky,” he says. “I’m sexual. That’s all. I like getting attention from guys and girls.”

So when the scene with Cooper came up, Adonis saw it as a chance to prove he was no “gay-for-pay diva.” RSS president Chris Ward offered him the chance to ram muscle hunk Cooper and Adonis saw it as “the perfect opportunity to show what I can do. Plus, Race was easy to work with and has a huge dick.”

Besides broadening his range, Adonis seems to be happy with his new rough-and-tumble image. “Now I look more like a young man than an old boy,” he laughs. And that harder edge will be on display in two new scenes he will be filming for RSS this month—including one in which he will bottom. “Staying hard becomes so exhausting,” Adonis says of his usual role of top man. “Bottoming is going to be a welcome change. I want to start taking a more submissive role. I mean, as a bottom, all you have to do is get cleaned out and loosened up, and you’re good to go!” But is he nervous about taking it like a man on-screen? “I have a good selection of toys at home,” he admits. “No one is going to be as big as one of those!”

In addition to his latest film work, Adonis is also slated to co-host (with Scotty B) Cocktails With the Stars at Micky’s in West Hollywood on July 20. “I’m looking forward to that,” Adonis says. “I have never hosted before, and I am fairly quick-witted and like having fun with that. So it should be good.” He also doesn’t rule out other future live appearances. “I will take the right offers if they come along,” he adds.

But for now Adonis is content to ride out his contract with RSS. “It’s so much easier being an exclusive,” he says. “You don’t make as much money as when you’re a free agent, but the studio deals with all the politics and bullshit, so it’s worth it.” While he looks back fondly at some of the past 10 years of making porn (Falcon Studios’ Taking Flight was one of his favorite experiences because “I got to go to London and hang out and work with my friend Josh Weston”), Adonis isn’t sure exactly what his future holds. He owns a small business in the Midwest and prides himself on keeping his family together. “Balancing porn and a family is not easy to do,” he says. “But my family always comes first. People can call me flaky and unreliable, but the only times I have acted that way were when I had to make my family a priority.”

As he preps for his upcoming scenes with daily workouts and a strict diet regimen, Adonis seems resigned to the facts of his life. “I’m done trying to figure out why so much BS goes on in this industry,” he says with a sigh. “It’s just too stressful. From now on, I’m just going with the flow.”

News: We’re Four!…and More

My, how time flies when you’re blogging! It’s been four years since the launch of VincentLambert.com. In that time, we survived year one (and the controversy surrounding our interview with Johnny Hanson about his decision to bareback), year two (this interview with Jordan Young from 1999 got picked up by The Insider and others) and year three (when we got to hang out with Simon Dexter and Jeremy Feist). In the past 12 months, we kept up the hard work with stories about porn superstars going to jail (we pretty much had the exclusive on the Robert Van Damme arrest, including his first post-prison photos and interview) and stripping for their fans (Jason Adonis and Ralph Woods). We also chatted with classic studs Clay Maverick (about his nonexistent comeback) and Mark Dalton (about his new career in bodybuilding) and newbies Logan Drake and DeAngelo Jackson.

We took another boat ride with some porn stars; went to the theater for a short-lived porn play and a one-man show; attended an awards ceremony for hookers; and caught up with our favorite nasty bodybuilder. We had our annual calendar contest (thanks to our sponsor, Titan Media); reviewed movies; and watched TV. Vince also did guest spots on the Cock2Go Show and LA Talk Radio’s The Alternative to hype the site. And sadly, we reported the untimely death of a promising young star. All in all, it was a year.

As always, we want to thank our loyal readers for clicking and all our fellow bloggers (who support us) and the studios and porn stars who give of themselves (so to speak). This fourth anniversary is the perfect time to let you guys know about some upcoming changes. The real world is calling, kids, and over the next few weeks, we won’t be able to sit in front of a computer 24/7 (as we have for the past four years). We will check in and out, but it might get a bit quiet around here. We’d like to invite you to delve into our archives for interviews with numerous screen studs, to read our more than 150 (!) movie reviews and peruse whatever else you might find of interest here. News: RSS Signs Four New Exclusives

We turn our back for a second and Raging Stallion goes and signs four (count ’em!) new exclusives. Now the San Francisco–based studio has always been known for its top-notch talent, but they’ve really outdone themselves this time. Among the big names are porn superstar Jason Adonis, who has been in and out of the industry over the past few years. “When Jason came to shoot with us we all hit it off very, very well,” RSS president Chris Ward says. “He was delightful. We did not plan to sign him when he first arrived, but he asked us to consider him as an exclusive. He wanted to work with the top porn studio, and he thought Raging Stallion was the place to be.” Adonis kicked things off by doing a scene for director Tony Dimarco’s Brutal. Next, he will be in a two-part movie currently lensing in Napa Valley. Adonis will also appear at the Raging Stallion booth at the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco on September 26.

In addition to Adonis, hot and hairy former COLT Man Adam Champ has joined the studio for a long-term exclusive contract. He will make his RSS debut in a scene with Vince Ferelli in Caught on Tape for director Steve Cruz. Champ will also be at the Folsom Street Fair. “I have always admired Raging Stallion as a studio that shoots very masculine men,” Champ says. “I got a fantastic exclusivity proposal from Chris Ward and I accepted it immediately. When I arrived in San Francisco, all the Raging Stallion staff made me feel like a superstar. I am very excited to start working with them.”

Next up is Rusty Stevens, who has had an extensive online career and been in a few DVDs in the past two years. He was once a smooth twink, but you’d never know it now as RSS is re-creating him as a manly man. “Stevens is one of the best actors I have ever worked with,” Ward says. “He delivers 110 percent all the time and just look at him! He has a perfect face, a perfect cock, a perfect body—it doesn’t get any better than this!” So far Stevens has filmed Don’t Ask, Just Fuck and Brutal (both directed by Dimarco) for the studio. He will also be involved in a major fetish site that Raging Stallion and the Gunzblazing affiliate program are launching soon.

Finally, Tommy Defendi has also joined RSS’s growing stable of porn stars. Following a successful career online and in films, Defendi appears in Don’t Ask, Just Fuck and Piss Army, a watersports fetish project from Cruz. “I am very happy to join Raging Stallion’s family,” Defendi says. “Although I am not a newcomer, I know my look has changed from boy to man. I am thankful that now I am allowed to be seen as a true versatile performer. I am looking to expand my horizons and learn the ropes and see my limits pushed in all aspects of production.”

Perhaps in answer to industry critics (and this hysterical video from Jet Set Men’s Rob Romoni!?), Ward noted, “We released 65 movies over the past 12 months and are looking toward releasing 85 in 2011—we are a huge production company and we have an ongoing need for top-quality, exclusive talent. And now we are in the enviable position of having nearly every top star coming to us to join our company. We do not turn down top talent, especially when we have so much work for them. And who could say no to Jason Adonis?”

Okay, you guys, if you missed the premier of Cocktails in the Forest last week at Micky’s (8857 Santa Monica Blvd.), you have another chance. Who cares if you didn’t get to see talent manager David Forest’s Premiere Artists clients Antton Harri, Brittany Coxxx and Diesel Washington (below)? Although, according to the erotic (and erratic?) star’s blog, Washington is now a former David Forest client. So you know some good shiz had to go down! Adonis, who appears in a threeway with Spencer Reed and Trent Diesel, is in impressive company, with a cast that includes Ricky Sinz, Alexsander Freitas and Angelo Marconi. RSS president Chris Ward says, “Brutal is our most high-profile movie of the year and adding Jason to the cast is perfect. I look forward to seeing him under our lights!” Oh, and it just so happens that Adonis’s scene was shot on his 30th birthday. Have a happy, bb! Next up for the hung stud? Known as the Black Buddha of Porn, Summers produced and directed numerous films, including Two Handfuls, Big and Thick and Style, and discovered major stars throughout his many years in the porn business, especially through his association with gay porn innovators Chuck Holmes, Matt Sterling (both deceased), John Travis and Jim Hodges. Summers died of a heart attack in North Hollywood. He was believed to be in his early sixties.…Anyone remember Big Penis? The book, that is.
