News: Jet Set Men Signs Landon Mycles

Jet Set Men has announced the signing of Landon Mycles to an exclusive contract. The 20-year-old model from Southern California makes his bottoming debut in the upcoming Chris Steele/John Tegan film CarJackers, in which he is paired with fellow Jet Set exclusive Hayden Stephens. Mycles has previously performed under the name Marcus Mojo and earlier this year was one of five finalists for Freshmen magazine’s Freshman of the Year (Zack Randall won). He follows in the footsteps of other similarly named Jet Set stars, the late superstar Brett Mycles and his “brother” Justin Mycles.

“Mycles will blow you away in this scene,” co-director Steele says, “when he swallows Stephen’s dick whole with no gagging whatsoever. Landon’s performance can be summed up in three words: No. Gag. Reflex.” Screenwriter and co-director John Tegan, who has filmed Mycles in three additional scenes for Jet Set’s Straight Edge Web site, agrees that Mycles will gain instant fame in porn as a result. “This kid knows how to perform for the camera,” Tegan says. “That first scene wasn’t a fluke—it was the first real glimpse of a superstar.” For more information, visit jetsetmen.com.

News: Jason Adonis Says Farewell to Adult Biz

It looked like things were going swimmingly for porn star Jason Adonis’s big return to porn. First there was the Minute Man solo scene for COLT Studio Group, then the upcoming shoot for Men magazine, and director Chris Steele broke the news on Twitter that the long-missing stud was going to be the lead in not one but two movies for Jet Set Men. Now, one phone call has changed all that. Our colleague Mark Adams is reporting that Adonis has skipped out on the shoot and the movies and decided to retire instead. Adonis rang up Adams over the weekend to say that his career in porn is over, citing the fact that he’s “too old” for the job (the guy is 29!), has a “regular job” now and and wants to focus on his wife and young daughter. In a follow-up e-mail, Adonis wrote, “I would like to say goodbye and apologize to all my fans. I am done with the adult film business. This is not a retirement and I won’t be back.” He went on to share, “This business has always been a horrible struggle for me. It just got to the point where the anxiety from having sex with a guy on camera was too much.” (Adonis also attached a farewell picture for “everyone to remember me by” in which he appears to be cut, toned and covered with blood and scabs. Sexy!) Steele responded to the statement by promptly replacing Adonis and saying, “All I know is I am filming Carjackers starring Jet Set exclusive Marcus Steele this week.” However, it sounds like Jet Set will go ahead with plans to make a compilation movie titled Jason Adonis: Unseen that takes original footage from his scenes for the company and reedits and remasters them for better quality (which they also did to great affect with the late Brett Mycles). Nobody ever said gay porn was free of drama!

News: Brett Mycles Dead at 29

Former Jet Set exclusive and bodybuilder Brett Mycles (real name Rob Sager) has died at age 29 in Las Vegas. According to porn star Zeb Atlas, via agent David Forest, Mycles passed way in his sleep on Saturday, February 24. The cause is thought to be congestive heart failure.

Mycles, who hailed from Houston, starred in six films between 2000 and 2001, including Jackhammer, Storm Fighter and Wrestler for Hire. He was also a popular fitness model for mainstream magazines, such as Men's Health.

In a prepared statement, photography studio Artuli Media said, "It is our deepest sorrow to announce that one of the most outstanding and recognized models in the bodybuilding and fitness industry, Rob Sager, has passed away this weekend due to heart failure. We have had the pleasure and honor of working with Rob during his flourishing years and valued him not just as a model, but also as a good friend.“

Funeral arrangements were not made public.

Movie Review: Jackhammer

They don’t call muscleman Brett Mycles “the jackhammer” for nothing. He certainly knows how to fuck a face, but viewers will have to be patient if they want to see him do just that. The beautifully built stud doesn’t do much of anything in Jackhammer until the final moments when he graciously allows himself to be serviced (think early Billy Herrington). But he does tie the threads of the minimal story line together as the boss of Jackhammer Construction. In four scenes, we see a multitude of attractive men. One couple ogles pictures and videos of Mycles, which leads to a major fuck session. Two co-workers (one is a dead ringer for Ricky Martin, if only he were…never mind) goof off and fuck after the boss man warns them not to. Tuck Johnson (sporting a bizarre Veronica Lake hairdo) gets nasty with a new guy on the job, introducing him to the Brett Mycles dildo. And finally, we get to see the man himself pumping iron, showering and preening in the mirror. Not that it isn’t worth the wait. Mycles is a gorgeous hunk of man, even if his acting and sexual repertoire are limited at this point. Jackhammer boasts some titillating moments, but the scenes tend to drag on for too long and the editing could be tighter—unlike the star’s amazing physique. (Jet Set Men)
