Last week, we told you about Brent Corrigan and Rocky Houston appearing at Cocktails With the Stars at Micky’s in West Hollywood. As expected, Rocky announced his big return to the big business, but the surprise of the night was that the guys were joined by superstar Zeb Atlas (who just signed to shoot four more scenes for Raging Stallion and Falcon). Muscle stud Atlas and timeless twink Corrigan ended up stripping down for the crowd in the packed upstairs lounge, while Rocky gave out copies of his 2009 Jet Set Men film Hung Country for Young Men. Also seen: superagent David Forest, who organized the event through his Premiere Artists company. Where’s host Scotty B!?

Event: Brent and Rocky Have Cocktails in Weho

Micky’s popular Cocktails With the Stars night just keeps keeping on. This week, the West Hollywood event hosted by Scotty B is welcoming superstar Brent Corrigan (who is working legit these days as Sean Lockhart) and returning star Rocky Houston. The appearance, which is presented by superagent David Forest and MeetTheXXXStars.com, is Houston’s first in three years. He was originally brought to Los Angeles about five years ago by Randy Blue. He did several scenes for the online studio before going on to work for director Chris Steele and Jet Set Men in this film. Now, Rocky, who is 29 and based in Ohio, is back and committing to the big biz once again. With Forest and Premiere Artists repping him in all adult areas, who knows where he’ll wind up! So now Web series are all the rage. Go figure! Last week it was Naked Sword weighing in with Golden Gate and Dominic Ford beating the drums for his new Coconut Cove. This week, Channel 1 Releasing is jumping in with Raising the Bar. This “provocative and original” online series (or so says the press release from publicist and Bar screenwriter Jason Sechrest) stars Adam Killian, Mitchell Rock, C1R exclusive Jimmy Durano, Steven Daigle (who, according to The Sword, has a Valentine’s Day date with a judge regarding his altercation with ex Trent Locke) and Conner Habib (above). Together they play five oversexed friends who attempt to outdo one another by capturing their sexual antics on amateur cams. Each episode features footage that the models shot themselves using their own cameras, phones and Web cams. This will be interspersed with professional glamour sequences shot by director Chi Chi LaRue (the company used a similar technique in Daigle’s first movie, XXXPosed). “We’re always looking for ways to combine what’s hot at the moment with what we’re really good at doing,” LaRue says. Raging Stallion rages on! For the third year in a row, the San Francisco–based studio took the top prize at the GAYVN Awards, which were handed out on Friday night. Comedian Alec Mapa hosted the show at the Castro Theatre, where RSS’s big-budget Focus/Refocus epic took four of the six awards it was nominated for, including Best Feature Release, Best Director (Chris Ward, Tony Dimarco and Ben Leon in a tie with Joe Gage for Dad Takes a Fishing Trip), Best Supporting Actor (Steve Cruz) and Best Videography. But it was Channel 1 Releasing that took home the most awards (six), for its various C1R, Rascal and All Worlds Video imprints, including Best Affiliate Program, Best Live Webcam/Webshow and Best Web-Based Marketing. They also nabbed the Best-Renting Title award for Steven Daigle: XXXPOSED. Former Big Brother reality star Daigle made a splash in his GAYVN debut by wearing only a cowboy hat on-stage. Lucas Entertainment walked off with three awards, including Best-Selling Title for Men of Israel and Best Alternative Release for Men in Stockings, though company president Michael Lucas was not there to accept. On the porn star side, Logan McCree (above) won Best Actor for RSS’s The Visitor; Conner Habib was voted Best Newcomer; and Rafael Alencar took Best Cumshot for Lucas’s Wall Street. It was also a good night for the Brents, as Brent Corrigan was named Web Performer of the Year, and C1R exclusive Brent Everett got Best Porn Star Site and Overall Fan Favorite. Speaking of fans, Sister Roma edged out Chi Chi LaRue and Jason Sechrest for the fan-voted GAYVN Personality of the Year, and Wilfried Knight received the coveted Performer of the Year title. Other highlights: Best Fetish Release went to Hot House’s Skuff 4, and Best Sex Comedy was Dominic Ford’s Harry Potter satire Whorrey Potter and the Sorcerer’s Balls. Director Gino Colbert once again did the Hall of Fame inductions, this year for Ryan Block, Mike Donner, Bill Marlowe, Matthew Rush and Mickey Skee. The Washington, D.C. advocacy group notes that Corrigan’s “ability to learn from his professional mistakes years ago and change his behavior” were reasons that he is the right porn star at the right time to spread the word. Fleshjack is looking for porn stars! The sex toy company is on a hunt for three models to represent its line of products, and they will be chosen by fans through an online contest. Eighteen performers are nominated for the title, including Brent Corrigan, Steve Cruz, Steven Daigle, Brent Everett, Matthew Rush and Austin Wilde. The Visconti Triplets (pictured above) previously served as spokesmodels for the company.

According to CEO Darren Roberts, the 12th installment of the popular event will take place in 2010. “There is absolutely no possibility the awards will be canceled, and we must put an end to these outrageous rumors,” Roberts says. “We’ve been doing this event for a long, long time, and we will continue to recognize gay adult companies for their achievements.” However, he added that the awards would be delayed “due to economic factors.” While last year’s show was co-sponsored by NakedSword, this year, AVN hopes to offset expenses by finding a major U.S. and international network that would broadcast the show on TV. The company used a similar tactic recently for the AVN Awards on the straight side of the industry. Roberts said additional information would be made public as soon as it is available.
