Event: 2010 International Escort Awards

The Fourth-Annual 2010 International Escort Awards came to town last Friday, bringing with it a veritable “Who’s That?” of NYC nightlife (we stole that line from Sirius Radio’s Derek Hartley, who uttered it while a wholly disinterested audience ignored his presentation. Hey, it wasn’t his fault. He just happened to be surrounded by a bunch of hookers!). Club Rebel was the sweaty setting for this year’s Hookies, where porn star Mike Dreyden and public-access goddess Robin Byrd hosted the red carpet and interviewed the likes of Michael Musto (who recently celebrated his 25th year with The Village Voice), David Forest (who flew in from Los Angeles for his Best Agency nomination but left empty-handed, especially considering that he had dumped shady—and possibly stinky—model Jason Crystal from his roster earlier in the day) and Diesel Washington (who later won for Best Blogger). Onstage, show host Raven O performed a couple of songs and was assisted by drag diva Sherry Vine in handing out 14 trophies (which looked a lot like an ashtray from where we were sitting).

Some highlights from the ceremony included: Rafael Alencar and Junior Stellano tying for Best Porn Star Escort (both missed the category and gave their acceptance speech later in the show); Arpad Miklos taking Best Top; Alex Baresi and Tory Mason sharing Best Ass (although only Alex was there to flash his); and Barrett Long winning for Best Cock (no shocker there) but declining to show it, instead referring interested parties to his Rentboy ad. Smart! Superstar Michael Lucas strolled onstage to present and accept Best Duo for the Mangiatti Twins (who worked for him in this movie), and porn vet Chase Hunter took home the Best Daddy award. But the night’s highest honor went to a big hairy dude named Gio, who was awarded both Best International Escort and Best Boyfriend Fantasy (Huh? What’s that? We’ve never had one of those!). He graciously thanked his clients and Rentboy and then encouraged the audience to go out and fuck!

Short Takes: Porn Star Leads to Gold…and More

We’re still in awe of Dustin Lance Black (above) and his moving acceptance speech at last month’s Academy Awards. The winner of Best Original Screenplay for Milk, Black was smart, eloquent and supercute, but did you know that the current A-Lister once worked with a gay porn star? In 2002, Black directed a documentary titled On the Bus, which was like an on-the-road reality show but only for the movies. And one of its subjects was twink porn star Dean O’Connor, who made a brief but major splash in the biz a few years back with films such as Technical Ecstasy and Young Men on Pleasure Trail. From what we knew of O’Connor, he was probably a bigger diva to work with than Milk star (and Oscar winner) Sean Penn.…Did anyone hear Barrett Long’s controversial appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show last week? The Long One is getting all sorts of bad press for speaking honestly about his heterosexual ways. We’re not big on radio—Sirius or otherwise—but we did hear bits of the interview and thought it was great…if you like listening to stupid straight homophobes sharing their juvenile views on sexuality and porn—and that was just Barrett! Okay, we know that the whole gay-for-pay thing is a totally marketable niche in porn these days, but do the alleged straightsters have to show such disdain for the fags they’re banging to earn a living? Condescension is never a turn-on.…For readers who’ve been wondering how porn star Nickolay Petrov (below) is faring now that he has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, sources at Fabscout in Florida tell us that they have been in touch with the onetime Jet Set exclusive and he is “very lonely” and hasn’t “gotten laid” in two years. Talk about a crime! Petrov still contends that he “didn’t do any of it” and is taking college courses and lifting weights (what else does one do in prison?). News: Barrett Long Films and Blogs Vegas-Style

What Happens in Vegas isn’t just the name of the latest crappy Ashton Kutcher movie. Now porn superstar Barrett Long is taking the title for his next release—and Lord knows he can only improve on it! Movie Review: Big Dick Society

Cast: Darren Rodman, Sebastian Young, Barrett Long, Trevor Knight, Antonio Madiera, Cam Kurtz, Cort Donovan, Jonathan Lowe, Chad Hunt, Jason White, Tommy DeLuca.

A gifted cast helps director Chris Steele’s Big Dick Society live up to its title. In the opening scene, Trevor Knight is working on a new contraption called the Size-O-Matic that measures a guy’s dick when he places it through the glory hole. If it meets Knight’s specifications, a green light flashes and the stud is deemed worthy of his elite club. While Knight runs out to do errands, good buddy Cort Donovan decides to try out the machine with Cam Kurtz, who must have passed the test because Donovan sucks him through the hole before banging him. But this is only the beginning of the well-endowed guys who show up. Knight soon has a bevy of big dicks in his living room, ready to measure up and pair off.

Antonio Madiera and Tommy DeLuca are the first to separate from the group for a nice flip-flop fuck. Madiera isn’t especially hung, but his big balls make up for it. DeLuca is no slouch in the size department, but he also works hard here, tongue-fucking Madiera before giving him a good pounding. The dicks keep growing as superstar Chad Hunt delivers his massive meat to twink Jonathan Lowe, who eagerly chows down on Hunt’s amazing piece. Sure, the newbie gags, but who wouldn’t? Hunt eats and preps Lowe’s sweet ass before giving it a no-mercy fuck. Next, big Barrett Long takes on Jason White, who is coached to “breathe” by the hung stud with stunning low-hangers. There’s a great shot of Long stretching White’s mouth with his fingers so he can take every inch of manmeat. Long does the same to White’s butthole.

Knight finally gets to enjoy the fruits of his labor when cover model Darren Rodman and his friend Sebastian Young scam their way into the party by offering up Young’s virgin ass. This scene has been hyped as the bottoming debut of Jet Set exclusive Young, and while he does manage to take all of Knight, he doesn’t exactly look thrilled to be doing so. He actually does better as top man to Rodman. In the end, the oversize cast shows what it means to be blessed with a large member—and to know how to use it, too. Picture quality is good, and the extras include a fun cameo by veteran star Chad Donovan (owner of another big dick!) as a crotchety old neighbor. (Jet Set Men)

While Madonna trotted out her Sticky and Sweet tour at Madison Square Garden, the sixth-annual HX Gay Erotic Expo unfolded across the street in the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center. Exhibitors at this year’s two-day event included Cybersocket.com, Unzipped Media, Pjur Lubricants, Rentboy.com, JustUsBoys.com and TLA Video, among many others. Drag queen Sherry Vine hosted live shows throughout the weekend featuring porn stars, exotic dancers and fetish fashions. Movie Review: Fleet Week

You can always tell when Fleet Week arrives in New York City. Hordes of clueless youths in uniform wander around Times Square looking for…lord knows what. Falcon Studios’ Fleet Week capitalizes on the potential for homoerotic fantasy there, casting porn star (and sometime blogger) Erik Rhodes as a horny sailor on shore leave with two friends. The trio and their shipmates get into all sorts of trouble when they dock in San Francisco. First, TJ Hawke goes on a nature walk and discovers beefy photographer Colby McNight snapping the wild life. Soon, the two cuties are getting wild in a hotel room. Hawke looks a bit on the young side to be enlisted, and his cocksucking technique gives him away as a novice, but when he starts with the nasty talk, using his little-girl voice, the scene goes from serious to laughable. But Hawke does know how to fuck, and he pounds the juice right out of McNight.

Next, pillow-lipped Tristan Jaxx checks out the talent at a local porn palace (the renowned Nob Hill Theatre, which we haven’t seen in years and is aging very nicely, thank you. If those walls could talk!). A ripped Josh Weston returns to the Falcon fold as a dancer who gets Jaxx’s attention. Audience member Kyle Pierce also takes notice, and the three guys suck and fuck right on the stage. Weston even takes a nightstick up the butt! Jaxx tops and delivers a faceful of cream to Weston (direct hit to the eyes—ouch!). Meanwhile, buddies Barrett Long and Jose Enrique check out the local SF club scene, where bartender Dylan Saunders (below) caters to their manly needs. First, he blows them (Enrique is hung extra thick and Long is, well, long!) then goes bottoms up for both in a very verbal way. Saunders also gets a facial. Do we sense a theme here?

For the final scene, we’re back to Rhodes, who has a clandestine meeting with fellow sailor Jude Collin. The secret lovers have been waiting for this leave for a while and make good use of their time together. First, they do 69 in a chair, then Rhodes’ massive body is on the bed, where he bottoms in several positions. Falcon recently announced that the company is changing its policy regarding oral cum shots (following the recent departure of president Todd Montgomery—but that’s another post), so if you want to see Rhodes take a mouthful of jizz, this is the movie for you. Overall, production values are high and the cast is top-rate. This Fleet Week delivers on the promise of seamen and semen. (Falcon Studios)

Movie Review: Playback

Cast: Roman Ragazzi, Remy Delaine, Jake Deckard, Dirk Jager, Justin Christopher, Marcos David, Max Blue, Trey Casteel, Barrett Long, Martin Mazza, J. St. Miguel.

In Raging Stallion’s latest two-disc set, Playback, Barrett Long is working the nightshift at a funky warehouse where dudes get it on in front of numerous cameras. Long, looking very grown-up, watches the action and even unleashes his monster cock for a solo jack. But first, Raging Stallion exclusive (and recent GAYVN Performer of the Year) Jake Deckard hooks up with Remy Delaine for an intense scene. These are both men’s men and their play showcases that fact beautifully. They share great deep-throat action, with Deckard making serious love to Delaine’s generous foreskin. The great picture quality captures every detail of this entrancing sequence. But nothing quite matches the look of wide-eyed wonder on Deckard’s face as he is topped by Delaine (after ramming Delaine first). These guys pound each other to a pulp (Deckard even wears knee pads!) and pop major cream. This scene lasts more than 45 minutes, yet the intensity rarely flags as Deckard and Delaine truly connect.

Exclusive Dirk Jager also has a good bond with partner Martin Mazza, as Yager smacks Mazza’s butt and tops it as well. It’s about this time that Long pulls out his Hustler magazine and goes to work on his oversize cock. A stunning cum shot follows. Next, Delaine and Mazza share a threeway with J. St. Miguel. Disc 2 begins with RSS Man of the Year Roman Ragazzi starting his shift at the fuck house. He witnesses the mismatched pairing of young Max Blue with daddy Trey Casteel. Then Marcos David puts the moves on Justin Christopher, and Delaine and Yager return for more fun. The last scene finds watchmen Long and Ragazzi collaborating for one amazing fuck. The wonderfully furry Ragazzi sucks all of Long (an impressive feat) and offers his fine ass. Long pounds away and delivers another gravity-defying money shot.

Director Ben Leon spices up the already hot men and sex with cool editing effects. And while Playback weighs in at a long four hours (plus a Jake Deckard solo scene as a DVD extra), viewers will feel like time has flown. (Raging Stallion Studios)

Event: More GAYVN Awards Coverage

We continue our coverage of the 10th-Annual GAYVN Awards with more exclusive pictures and dish from the show, which was held last Saturday at the Giftcenter in San Francisco. Sirius Radio personalities Derek and Romaine hosted, filling the big shoes of last year’s host Kathy Griffin (who interestingly booked the Castro Theatre, where the awards took place in 2007, on the same night to perform her comedy act. Our spies tell us that Griffin had faux protesters outside the theater carrying signs that read, “You want an awards show? Suck this!”). The duo decided to answer their very vocal critics (especially the guys at Naked Sword who compared them to potted houseplants) by bringing two actual plants on-stage to start the show. It took the audience a while, but eventually they caught on.

Before that, Lady Bunny performed one of her hysterical song parodies geared especially to the crowd (“All That Jazz” became “All That Jizz”). Later, the NYC drag queen and DJ returned with a string of one-liners that skewered her XXX-rated audience (Sample joke: “I told Michael Lucas to act his age, so he died!”). Chi Chi LaRue, a former host of the show, also took the stage to hype the crowd for the beleaguered new hosts and to ask that the industry come together, even if just for that one night. Overall, Derek and Romaine acquitted themselves nicely, offering up some bitchy barbs and (in the case of Romaine) an intentional nip slip. But when all was said and done, their participation was kept to a minimum and, thanks to some of our fellow judges who rarely stopped yapping throughout the show, we could barely hear the leafy duo!

Some of our favorite moments: the entrance of porn It Couple of the Moment Jesse Santana and Guy Parker, both tan beyond their years and chomping gum in unison; the introduction of Hall of Fame presenter Gino Colbert with his name spelled out on the ass cheeks of Falcon’s exclusive power pair Aden and Jordan Jaric; the well-deserved induction of longtime porn superstar Rod Barry into the GAYVN Hall of Fame; Amazonia: Capture and Release director Dennis Bell mentioning its late star Danny Roddick when he accepted the award for Best Ethnic-Themed Video (Latin); and Grunts’ Chris Ward thanking “all the skinny people who make these movies possible” when he won Best Director with Ben Leon.

However, not everyone was completely satisfied with the results. The morning after the awards, Lucas Entertainment president and CEO Michael Lucas sent out a mass e-mail to GAYVN judges and media wondering why his hit sex comedy The Intern (which was named Best Renting Title of 2007) won four awards but his glossy Gigolo, a more serious bid for award approval, received none. “So what went wrong with Gigolo that it got nothing?” Lucas wrote. “If you praised Gigolo as a groundbreaking film, then acknowledge it. Gigolo is a serious feature that was raved about. The Intern is a cute comedy. What went wrong? Where is the common sense? I want the answers.”

Do you hear that, people? Lucas wants answers! What can we say? There’s nothing like a sore winner.
