Micky’s popular Cocktails With the Stars night just keeps keeping on. This week, the West Hollywood event hosted by Scotty B is welcoming superstar Brent Corrigan (who is working legit these days as Sean Lockhart) and returning star Rocky Houston. The appearance, which is presented by superagent David Forest and MeetTheXXXStars.com, is Houston’s first in three years. He was originally brought to Los Angeles about five years ago by Randy Blue. The ninth-annual Bad Boys on the Hudson cruise sailed last weekend, giving sweaty New Yorkers a break from the heatwave gripping the city. The Tom of Finland Foundation has announced a new exhibition of classic work from artist Tom of Finland. Tom Time opens Friday, December 2, at Pleasures and Treasures (2525 University Avenue) in San Diego and features a selection of new, limited-edition fine-art prints. The foundation will be the beneficiary of the gala premiere. “This exhibition is an amazing opportunity for everyone,” says curator S.R. Sharp, “a chance to give and to give back. It is a time to rejoice in ourselves and all that Tom has given us. Gay has always been good.” A $10 donation to the Tom of Finland Foundation at the opening helps to preserve the catalog of Tom’s work and aid and promote other current-day artists. Okay, so it looks like we survived another year of the Black Party. No reported overdoses or fatalities…yet! (Death by fisting!? Ouch!). Last weekend’s events kicked off with BPX: The Black Party Expo at Roseland in NYC. The usual assortment of pornsters and fans turned out to peruse the booths and perhaps pick up a dildo or buttplug on sale.

As the evening unfolded, so did the 2011 International Escort Awards (aka the Hookies). This fifth-annual celebration of the guys who rent (by the hour) got off to a fun start with a sexy dance number by the Daisy Spurs troupe and an onstage mooning from the men of Lucas Entertainment. It was during this portion of the show that porn star Rafael Alencar got up close and personal with one thirsty audience member (and fan, we hope!) by pissing in his mouth. Yuck! Yum! Event: Black Party Weekend

One of our favorite artists is going the tell-all route. Or at least he’s putting down his drawing pencil long enough to share some of his wondrous world! Robert W. Richards presents Chapters in an Improbable Life tonight, Wednesday, February 9, at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street) in NYC at 7:30 pm. Robert is back with an updated retrospective of a freewheeling NYC gay life that now lives only in memory. Hmmm, wonder whether he recalls his amazing exhibitions, such as this one and this one. Event: Tom of Finland Retrospective

So you know the iconic gay artist Tom of Finland? Well, he’s actually from Finland! Who knew? And a new retrospective is taking him back (or his work at least) to Turku, Finland, as part of the 2011 European Capital of Culture celebrations. The exhibition, which is up now and runs throughout the year till December 18, features more than 70 rare drawings and paintings on paper that were done from 1928 to 1990.

Tom of Finland was born Touko Laaksonen in 1920 in the village of Kaarina, Finland. At age 19, he moved to Helsinki to attend art school, where he created his first homoerotic drawings. Following his release from the army after World War II, Laaksonen worked in advertising and continued drawing. He submitted his work to Physique Pictorial magazine, where he was first published in 1957 under the pseudonym Tom of Finland. His brilliant work soon became synonymous with gay culture and perhaps for the first time in art joined masculinity with homosexuality.

“Tom’s artwork provided generation after generation healthy and happy imagery with which they could identify,” president and cofounder of the Tom of Finland Foundation Durk Dehner says, “something that Western culture had been unwilling to supply and, in fact, did its utmost to curtail.”

Event: The Will Clark Show Hits 300!

Guess who’s turning 300? No, not Barbara Walters! The Will Clark Show (featuring Porno Bingo) is celebrating its 300th show tonight. Event: LI Film Festival to Honor Joe Gage

One of gay porn’s legendary auteurs is being honored this weekend in New York. Director Joe Gage will be feted at the Long Island Film Festival this Sunday, November 14, for An Evening With Joe Gage, Revolutionary Filmmaker. He, along with special guest porn star Bryan Slater (pictured above in his new Titan Media release, Swelter), will take part in a screening of Gage’s 1979 film classic L.A. Tool & Die (which was also given the theatrical treatment last summer in Los Angeles), plus an interview, Q&A session and reception. The movie was the concluding chapter of Gage’s groundbreaking “Working Man” trilogy, which also included Kansas City Trucking Co. and El Paso Wrecking Corp.
