News: Drew Cutler Signs With Suite 703
Recently relaunched Suite 703 has signed porn star Drew Cutler to a one-year exclusive contract. Cutler, who has appeared in films such as All Worlds/Channel 1 Releasing’s Playing With Fire: 4 Alarm (for which he is nominated for a Grabby Award) and Hot House’s Loading Zone, will work for Suite 703’s numerous niche sites, including My Brother’s Hot Friend, I’m a Married Man!, Men Hard at Work and Hot Jocks Nice Cocks. The contract includes Web work and live appearances only and won’t prohibit him from making movies for other major studios.
“It was one of my biggest goals to become a studio exclusive,” says Cutler, who is repped by Jason Sechrest’s DV8 Casting. “I’m excited about all the work coming up, getting to work with so many hot guys every month and a lot of traveling too, so I get to meet all of the people who I hope are enjoying my scenes.”
“Drew is like a dream to work with,” Suite 703’s head of production and development Tommy Stone says. “He does anything a director asks of him. He’s incredibly professional. And he’s all man! He’s so versatile though, he can fit the mold of any of our sites. We consider ourselves very lucky to have him so early on in his career. He’s going to be one of the industry’s few true superstars.”

Sneak Peek: Derrek Diamond in Tales of the Arabian Nights
More teasers from Raging Stallion Studios upcoming epic Tales of the Arabian Nights. This sequel to the Arabesque series features 10 full-length scenes on four discs. The sexy cast of Middle Eastern studs includes some hot newcomers, such as Aybars, in addition to superstars Wilfred Knight, Damien Crosse, Francesco D’Macho, Steve Cruz, Austin Wilde, Antonio Biaggi and Angelo Marconi.
Derrek Diamond (above) also stars in the film. He’s the most recent Raging Stallion Studios contract player. RSS recently sat down for a chat with the handsome and hung porn star. Here’s an excerpt:
What is it like to be a gay porn superstar?
It’s funny cause I don’t think it’s even fully hit me yet. I feel like just recently I’ve started to realize how many people actually do recognize me when I’m out, so it’s slowly setting in. You’d think by now I would have realized that, but in reality I have a pretty normal life really and this is just one aspect of it.
When did you start thinking about doing porn? Were you a porn fan?
I guess I used to fantasize about doing porn when I was a teenager but never really thought I’d ever pursue it. I have always been into porn though, so it’s probably not that weird that I’m involved in the industry now. I love being an exhibitionist, so I’m not surprised in that sense, that’s for sure. I’m a total hornball is probably all I need to say, cause that explains a lot!
Did you always know you had a big dick?
As for my cock, it’s funny cause I just thought they all looked the same when I was younger, so I guess it wasn’t till just recently that I actually realized I had a big dick. I was only with one guy before I started doing porn, so that was the only other dick I really saw besides mine. It’s actually pretty crazy how different they all are now that I’ve had the chance to see a few more.
You have a scene with a porn newcomer Ricky Martinez (below) in Tales of the Arabian Nights. How was it working with a first-time porn star?
I think it went pretty well. He’s definitely a beautiful guy, plus we filmed our scene outside at night in a courtyard while it was raining, and it really doesn’t get sexier then that. Also, that is the scene that got me noticed by RSS and brought upon the exclusive offer, so I could definitely say that that scene was an important point in my career as well.
What kind of guy are you attracted to?
I’m not sure I have a type really. I do tend to usually like hairy older guys and dare I say jocks? I just want my man to be intelligent, confident and inspire me to be a better man too.
He looks pretty good to us! Tales of the Arabian Nights will be available soon, but you can reserve your copy now. To preorder, visit RagingStallion.com.

Event: 2010 International Escort Awards
PHOTOS BY VINCENT LAMBERT
The Fourth-Annual 2010 International Escort Awards came to town last Friday, bringing with it a veritable “Who’s That?” of NYC nightlife (we stole that line from Sirius Radio’s Derek Hartley, who uttered it while a wholly disinterested audience ignored his presentation. Hey, it wasn’t his fault. He just happened to be surrounded by a bunch of hookers!). Club Rebel was the sweaty setting for this year’s Hookies, where porn star Mike Dreyden and public-access goddess Robin Byrd hosted the red carpet and interviewed the likes of Michael Musto (who recently celebrated his 25th year with The Village Voice), David Forest (who flew in from Los Angeles for his Best Agency nomination but left empty-handed, especially considering that he had dumped shady—and possibly stinky—model Jason Crystal from his roster earlier in the day) and Diesel Washington (who later won for Best Blogger). Onstage, show host Raven O performed a couple of songs and was assisted by drag diva Sherry Vine in handing out 14 trophies (which looked a lot like an ashtray from where we were sitting).
Some highlights from the ceremony included: Rafael Alencar and Junior Stellano tying for Best Porn Star Escort (both missed the category and gave their acceptance speech later in the show); Arpad Miklos taking Best Top; Alex Baresi and Tory Mason sharing Best Ass (although only Alex was there to flash his); and Barrett Long winning for Best Cock (no shocker there) but declining to show it, instead referring interested parties to his Rentboy ad. Smart! Superstar Michael Lucas strolled onstage to present and accept Best Duo for the Mangiatti Twins (who worked for him in this movie), and porn vet Chase Hunter took home the Best Daddy award. But the night’s highest honor went to a big hairy dude named Gio, who was awarded both Best International Escort and Best Boyfriend Fantasy (Huh? What’s that? We’ve never had one of those!). He graciously thanked his clients and Rentboy and then encouraged the audience to go out and fuck!
Seen (from top): Tuxedoed Hookies poster child David Forest; Robin Byrd and Mike Dreyden grill winner Diesel Washington; nominee Jason Pitt; winner Rafael Alencar and Lucas Entertainment director Mr. Pam; Jay Black (who tells us he’s planning a comeback) and Dreyden; Byrd with artist and porn star Spike; and former Mr. HX and current hot bartender Doug Repetti. Also seen: Will Clark; VidioView writer Mark Adams and photographer Wesley; director Kevin Clarke; a suddenly single Brandon Baker; Tommy Defendi; Drew Cutler; Vin Nolan; Mark Nelson; Ricardo from Chelsea Guys; Shelly Byrd; Bambi Sue and Killer; Marc Berkley; and assorted other “Who’s That?” types.

Short Takes: Reichen Onstage…and More
Okay, so he’s not a porn star, but he sure looks like one! Reality star and author Reichen Lehmkuhl (above), who won The Amazing Race and then continued to fail upward by dating boybander Lance Bass, will be starring in an off-Broadway comedy this spring. The show, My Big Gay Italian Wedding, comes from playwright Anthony Wilkinson and tells the story of two handsome grooms (Reichen is one, we’re guessing), an overbearing Italian mother, a jealous ex-boyfriend, a wedding planner from hell and—you get the idea. Sounds like My Big Fat Greek Wedding gone way gay—and Italian, too! Look for a May 22 opening at St. Luke’s Theatre in Midtown. Who knows? Maybe the stud can act, too. For more information, visit BigGayItalianWedding.com.…We’re back to reporting some more gay porn awards news. The nominations for the 2010 Grabby Awards were announced last week, and Channel 1 Releasing was the most nominated studio (with 45 nods). Adam Killian (below) was the most nominated individual (actually, the most nominated ever!). Some major categories include Best Porn Star Blog, Hottest Cock, Best Versatile Performer and Best Cum Scene. The awards will be handed out on Saturday, May 29, at the Park West Theater in Chicago. Chi Chi LaRue and Honey West are set to host, along with pornsters Jeremy Bilding (after winning this contest), Roman Heart and Diesel Washington. For a complete list of nominees, click here.…Sad news from the world of gay porn publishing last week. Unzipped magazine has folded, following in the footsteps of Men and Freshmen, which went under last year. They were all owned by Regent Media, which also runs The Advocate, Out and here! TV. We first heard the news on Twitter (follow us @VinceLambertNYC), and while we’re still awaiting an official press release, according to our blog buddy and Unzipped.net star blogger Zachary Sire, the mag is done. Its excellent site went dark for a couple of days, but thankfully posting have resumed and all seems well on that front. The death of Unzipped is just another in the long line of gay porn mags to cease publication, and in the past couple of years we have seen the demise of Mandate, Playguy, Honcho, Inches, Black and Latin Inches and Torso (all from Mavety Media Group). XXX Showcase, the Adam Gay Video Directory and [2] have also gone the way of the wildebeest. Let’s have a moment of silence for the printed word, y’all. [Hangs head here]

Event: The Hookies Tonight in NYC
A weekend of gay old times kicks off tonight in New York with the Fourth-Annual 2010 International Escort Awards. “The Hookies,” as they are lovingly called by those in the know, take place tonight, Friday, March 19, at Club Rebel (251 W. 30th Street) and are hosted by Raven O. Porn star Mike Dreyden and cable queen Robin Byrd will be working the red carpet. Doors open at 9 pm and the show starts at 10 pm (that’s in hooker time). Fans get free admission before 11 pm.
But that’s just the start. On Saturday afternoon, the Saint at Large presents BPX: The Black Party Expo & Bazaar at Roseland Ballroom (239 W. 52nd Street) with various vendors, performers and porn stars, including Arpad Miklos, Rafael Alencar and Lucas Entertainment exclusive Avi Dar, offering up live music, a fashion show, a barber station and bootblack and much more. Drag star Acid Betty hosts. The Expo runs from noon to 7 pm and you get free admission with a ticket to the Black Party, which happens later that night at the same venue. They’re saying that this daylong event is “a trip behind the scenes at the world’s sexiest party.”
And “sexy” is an understatement, as those who have attended this long-running circuit institution will attest. The Black Party: Rites XXXI will feature its usual assortment of sexual antics along with DJs Hector Fonseca, Ana Paula and Paulo. It’s all about the music, right? (Oh, and the sex and the drugs!) Doors open at 10 pm, but most revelers show up sometime the next day, so plan accordingly.
But let’s circle back to the Hookies for a moment. We’ve learned that talent agent David Forest will be making his first trip to NYC in more than 30 years to attend the ceremony (where he is nominated for Best Agency for his Meet the XXX Stars program, which won in 2008). And while Ms. Forest is known for his stable of top talent, including Mark Dalton, Zeb Atlas and Leo Giamani, he always has room for one more stud. So tonight at the awards, look for him to be flanked by at least one of his many guys, Samuel Colt (below), who has the distinction of being Unzipped mag’s final cover model (more on that next week). For info on Sam, visit ThePremiereArtists.com. See y’all at the Hookies!

Movie Review: Boys of Buenos Aires
BY VINCENT LAMBERT
Director: Chad Donovan.
Cast: Max Schutler, Robinho DeSilva, Bruno, Andreas, Juan Pablo, Valentino, Daxel, Ulises.
It’s back to the streets of Argentina for director Chad Donovan and Jet Set’s Latin Heat Productions. Once again, cutie Max Schulter (is he in every movie shot there?) and his buddies show each other a good time in Boys of Buenos Aires. First, he and tattooed hunk Robinho DeSilva get nasty in the kitchen. They kiss and suck and DeSilva delivers some robotic topping, but the intense extreme close-ups of poles in holes saves the day—almost. Next, one-named wonders Bruno and Andreas makeout on the couch before stripping out of their jeans. This scene is short on oral but long on Andreas pounding the hell out of Bruno. So who’s complaining? Juan Pablo and Valentino are young and cute, but Pablo fucks like a straight guy and makes bottom boy Valentino do all the heavy lifting here. Daxel and Ulises are also easy on the eyes, but they lack chemistry and also endure some stark lighting that is less than flattering. Overall, the scenery is nice but some sort of plot or context might have helped the aimless sex. Back to the streets, guys! (Jet Set Men/Latin Heat Productions)

Press: Heath Jordan on Bear Mag Cover
Beefy newcomer Heath Jordan has landed on the cover of the current Bear Magazine #70. The 28-year-old furball, who also appears inside in a three-page photo spread, follows in the footsteps of this famous porn star. This was Jordan’s first shoot, and according to Bear reps, he was “totally relaxed and admitted to getting off on being watched.” Sounds like he’s getting into the right line of work. Jordan, who is single, stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 200 pounds. He is versatile and enjoys showing off his ever-hard cock. Future plans for the bearded stud include his screen debut in a film for Butch Bear later this year. And we’re hearing that he’s also about to sign a deal with a major porn studio. Well, we certainly wouldn’t mind seeing more of him! For more information, visit bearomnimedia.com.

Video Game: The Bachelor
Anyone who follows us on Twitter (@VinceLambertNYC) knows that we’re mildly obsessed with The Bachelor. This ABC show usually hits rock-bottom somewhere around midseason then comes back with a strong finish (and sometimes a marriage proposal—or two). The season that just wrapped (its 14th!) featured hunky Jake Pavelka, who never missed an opportunity to take off his shirt to display his perfect torso (see below). Well, it looks like we’re not the only fans of this fake reality show because Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the release of The Bachelor: The Videogame, which will be available this summer on both Nintendo Wii and DS. Unfortunately, bachelor Jake isn’t featured. Instead we’re stuck with last season’s lowlife Jason Mesnick (if you didn’t watch, then you have no idea what an incredible jerk this guy is!). Yes, he’s the same despicable dickwad who married second choice Molly Malaney on TV last night (ABC paid for the event and gave them both a salary. Sounds like they deserve each other!). That’s a computerized version of him in all his douchey glory above.
In The Bachelor: The Videogame, players compete for the heart of Mesnick or one of the other Bachelors and Bachelorettes from past seasons. They can choose from a selection of avatars that best suits their personality. In single player mode, the game is structured like the TV show. The Wii version offers multiplayer mode for a fun party game enabling players to compete against their frenemies. Both are hosted by TV version host Chris Harrison. Of course, someone gets a rose and then…actually, who gives a flying fuck!? Let’s face it, this entire post is just an excuse to run some hot shirtless pics of Jake. So, enjoy, guys. Now we can move on to our obsession with Snooki!

Short Takes: Leo Giamani Gets Busy…and More
Porn star Leo Giamani is back! Not that he’s really been gone, but last week there was a flurry of news about the big gorgeous hunk of man. Giamani, who has worked as an exclusive for Falcon Studios and online for Randy Blue and Jake Cruise, among others, and modeled for Rufskin has now signed with talent manager David Forest, who will rep him via The Premiere Artists group for film, Internet and live appearances. Giamani will also be available for “private introductions” via Forest’s Meet The XXX Stars program. “Leo is such a superstar sex performer and so perfectly handsome, with a fabulous body and huge dick,” Forest says of his latest client, “I feel that his career in gay XXX is just beginning.” Giamani, who won GAYVN’s Internet Performer of the Year Award last year, made his live debut at Goodhandy’s in Toronto this past weekend. And he just filmed a new scene, his first while under industry vet Forest’s career direction, for director Chi Chi LaRue in her latest Channel 1 Releasing film, Steven Daigle: Stalked. This is the second in a proposed trilogy starring Big Brother reality star Steven Daigle, which follows the upcoming XXXPOSED (the third will be filmed this week). Giamani’s scene is a threeway with Daigle and Adam Killian, and according to our on-set sources, Daigle bottoms for both studs. For more on Leo, visit ThePremiereArtists.com.…Please make it stop! From the “Just What We Need, Another Gay Porn Awards” department: Retailer TLA Video has announced that it’s starting its very own TLA Gay Awards. How original! The nominees were picked by the unbiased TLA staff, and winners will be named on April 15. Ho-hum categories include Best Movie, Performer and Director of the Year; other more “off-the-wall” categories include Best Hair, Best Intergenerational Flick and Tastiest Oral Cumshot. Movie Review: Everything You Wanted to Know About Gay Porn Stars…
BY VINCENT LAMBERT
Director: John Roecker
Cast: Johnny Hazzard, Jason Ridge, Nick Capra, Bret Wolfe, Jeremy Jordan, Jason Hawke, Nick Piston, Danny Vox, Joey Milano, Others.
Even though here! TV is in the business of marketing programing to the gays, that doesn’t mean it always presents its subject matter in the best possible light. Case in point: the documentary Everything You Wanted to Know About Gay Porn Stars *but were afraid to ask. This film from director John Roecker, which led to a six-part series that aired on the cable channel last year, boasts a big-name porn star cast, but it offers an anything but positive depiction of the gay adult industry. It starts predictably enough with an off-camera voice asking top stars such as Johnny Hazzard (above), Jason Ridge (below), Nick Capra, Bret Wolfe, Jeremy Jordan and Jason Hawke how they got their porn names, why they decided to get into the business (Capra did it to piss off his mother), what their first scene was like and other innocuous questions. But about halfway through, the questions and film take a turn toward the dark side. And we mean that literally as Roecker has photographed these mostly young and good-looking models in extremely unflattering and harsh lighting. Their faces are cast in shadow and the blank walls behind them give a gritty and unappealing look.
Though the coming-out stories remain upbeat (Jeremy Jordan tells a funny one about breaking the news of his sexual orientation to his grandmother during a family dinner), once the topic turns to escorting and drug abuse, the film becomes a one-way ticket to depression and doom. An emotional Joey Milano shares tales of his bareback work, which ultimately leads to a troubling story about a producer knowingly allowing a model with an STD to participate in a shoot. It’s no surprise when Milano reveals his HIV-positive status. One model shoots up on a toilet bowl and another smokes crack for the cameras. Ah, the glamour!
The film departs from the Q&A format to go on set with Nick Capra and his then-boyfriend as they shoot a scene together for this movie. This is ground that has already been covered (and to much better effect) in Ronnie Larsen’s revealing 1997 documentary Shooting Porn. When the boyfriend goes AWOL on a drug bender and then returns to beat up Capra, there’s a feeling that we’ve seen this story before. Every negative stereotype about gay porn and its workers is reinforced, and the subjects often seem one-dimensional and cliché. A brutally honest Capra and a thoughtful Jason Ridge musing on self-esteem and image come alive as fully formed humans, but most of the others just seem like they’re playing the part of a desperate porn star destined to a sad end.
Roecker uses vintage clips from films that depict homosexuals as threats to society and outcasts, but they do little to lighten the tone. Tattooed model Nick Piston gets the last word. After grappling with his own feelings of shame and insecurity, he ends the film on an almost positive note, but it’s too little, too late. Everything You Wanted to Know… has already ignored any of the fun, creativity and entertainment value that the industry might offer to gay men, and instead leads us to a dark and gloomy place, leaving its audience—and subjects—down and out.
