Will Clark and his Bad Boys on the Hudson will be setting sail once again on Sunday, July 11. And we now know exactly which pornsters will be on board. News: Count Three and Pray

Okay, it’s time to run our annual drool-worthy picture of Rusty Joiner. Trusty Rusty was here when we turned one and two. Now the Icon Men hunk is back to celebrate the third anniversary of VincentLambert.com! Yes, kids, another year has passed and we continue to blog about gay porn in its many incarnations. This year, the industry kept evolving (or devolving, depending on who you asked), and we did our best to keep up and keep y’all informed. We went on porn cruises, attended erotic art fairs and watched as they handed out awards to hookers (yes, they give awards for that!). We interviewed famous directors and photographed veteran ones. We traveled to L.A. and made it to Industry (before it went kaput) and even had Cocktails With the Stars. And of course there were the models, young and, er, classic: We ate lunch with Simon Dexter and dinner with Jeremy Feist (young); we played bingo with Robert Van Damme and hit the road with Mark Dalton (definitely classic). But it was old-timer Dean Phoenix and newcomer Robert Gonzalez who really got us going.

At the movies, we joined in the Best of the Decade group blogging event (here’s Part 1 and Part 2) with numerous other industry writers, spotted trends (twins!), called out a lame documentary and actually found something watchable on MTV! We continued the Should Do Porn posts that first put us on the map (Mr. Joiner was one of the premier subjects), held our annual calendar contest (thanks, Raging Stallion!) and even wrote about video games (we hear the kids like ’em). Although we’ve never been nominated or won an award (hint), sometime in the past year we landed on the Starrfucker.net Top 10 Blog list. Vince showed up as a “porn expert” on The Derek and Romaine Show on Sirius Radio and continued to write for Unzipped, Men, Freshmen and GAYVN, until they folded or downsized! We also did lots of Tweeting over the past 12 months (follow us @VinceLambertNYC)—or at least as much as time (and our scintillating workout schedule) allowed.

So it was a year. It might not sound like much, but we did our best to bring you all the latest gay porn news, gossip and information—or at least the stories that we found interesting and/or amusing. After all, if you can’t get a good giggle from this crazy biz, then what’s the point? Thanks to all the readers who visit on a daily basis (are we really approaching 1.5 million unique visitors!?) and to all the other sites and bloggers who offer links, support and encouragement. Oh, and the studios and porn stars too, who make much of our content possible. And props to anyone who can figure out the origins of our obscure headline today (courtesy of one of our fave ’80s bands). Keep reading, writing in and commenting, guys. The rest is yet to come!

Event: The Hookies Tonight in NYC

A weekend of gay old times kicks off tonight in New York with the Fourth-Annual 2010 International Escort Awards. “The Hookies,” as they are lovingly called by those in the know, take place tonight, Friday, March 19, at Club Rebel (251 W. 30th Street) and are hosted by Raven O. Porn star Mike Dreyden and cable queen Robin Byrd will be working the red carpet. Doors open at 9 pm and the show starts at 10 pm (that’s in hooker time). Fans get free admission before 11 pm.

But that’s just the start. On Saturday afternoon, the Saint at Large presents BPX: The Black Party Expo & Bazaar at Roseland Ballroom (239 W. 52nd Street) with various vendors, performers and porn stars, including Arpad Miklos, Rafael Alencar and Lucas Entertainment exclusive Avi Dar, offering up live music, a fashion show, a barber station and bootblack and much more. Drag star Acid Betty hosts. The Expo runs from noon to 7 pm and you get free admission with a ticket to the Black Party, which happens later that night at the same venue. They’re saying that this daylong event is “a trip behind the scenes at the world’s sexiest party.”

And “sexy” is an understatement, as those who have attended this long-running circuit institution will attest. The Black Party: Rites XXXI will feature its usual assortment of sexual antics along with DJs Hector Fonseca, Ana Paula and Paulo. It’s all about the music, right? (Oh, and the sex and the drugs!) Doors open at 10 pm, but most revelers show up sometime the next day, so plan accordingly.

But let’s circle back to the Hookies for a moment. We’ve learned that talent agent David Forest will be making his first trip to NYC in more than 30 years to attend the ceremony (where he is nominated for Best Agency for his Meet the XXX Stars program, which won in 2008). And while Ms. Forest is known for his stable of top talent, including Mark Dalton, Zeb Atlas and Leo Giamani, he always has room for one more stud. So tonight at the awards, look for him to be flanked by at least one of his many guys, Samuel Colt (below), who has the distinction of being Unzipped mag’s final cover model (more on that next week). Short Takes: Death of 2 Porn Stars…and More

Gay Porn Land is still reeling from the news last week of the passing of two young stars. First, porn star Dustin Michaels (top photo) died in a freak accident following a run-in with police in Bay County, Florida. The 23-year-old model, who worked for online studios such as BoundGods, CircleJerkBoys and On the Hunt and appeared in the film Cocks in Paradise for RVD Films, choked on a bag of marijuana after sheriff’s deputies Tasered him in an attempt to arrest him. In a bizarre twist, a camera crew was trailing the cops for a TruTV reality show and captured the unfortunate incident on video, which local Florida media and several Web sites picked up. Gino Colbert, who directed Michaels in Paradise, recalls that he was “quite handsome and tall. The lad showed up on time, was very professional and did a good scene.”…Later the same day, it was reported that porn star Todd Welch (second photo) passed away following a battle with a rare form of lymphoma. Welch, 29, has worked in the industry since 2007 and appeared in films such as Endless Crush for Falcon Studios and Welcome to Paradise and Auditions 18 for Lucas Entertainment. Both models will be missed by family, friends and fans.…In other less than happy news, Erik Rhodes is saying on his blog that he spent three days in the ICU unit of a hospital last week for an unnamed ailment. The Falcon exclusive, who stars in Pledgemaster: The Hazing, out this week, says it was for “reasons beyond my control.” He adds that he is out now, feeling “weak and really tired.” Rest up, stud.…On a much lighter note, Levi Johnston ain’t the only one making fun of Sarah Palin. Now superstar dragster RuPaul has done an amazingly spot-on spoof of the moron from Alaska and her best-selling (!) memoir, Going Rogue. Below you can see Ru “Going Vogue”—and it’s all in the name of some good old-fashioned self-promotion for the second season of her hit Logo series, RuPaul’s Drag Race. This “RuPalin” returns with new episodes starting February 1. Can’t wait! Newcomer Douglas Beckham is available…for work. The 27-year-old model lives in South Beach, where he has basked in the Florida sun. Seen: Zeb Atlas and Caesar at Micky’s in Weho

As L.A. readers know, it’s been a month of Forest Men at Micky’s in West Hollywood. Veteran talent manager David Forest has trotted out his best stars of the past and present for the revitalized Cocktails With the Stars event. The first week it was fan favorites Johnny Castle, Tony Capucci and Adam Campbell. Last week it was superstars Zeb Atlas (above) and Caesar (below) making the scene. Both were interviewed by host Scotty B, and Forest tells us that Atlas says he’s 38 but looks 28, which is always nice. “I’ve produced dozens of Cocktails shows over the past 13 years,” Forest says, “but this was one of the very best.” Atlas showed off his smooth chest, signed autographs and gave away copies of this hit movie. And our old buddy Caesar was no slouch either. “Caesar was fantastic,” Forest enthuses. “He was totally charming, witty and gorgeous. And he was ripped, tan, totally hot.” Also good. Caesar handed out freebies of this classic film. Also seen: previous guests and sexy bfs Chad Donovan and Antonio Madiera; Adam Killian (who presented Zeb with a Grabby Award for their scene in Falcon Studio’s Best Men); Chi Chi LaRue; Ross Cannon; Wolf Hudson; Vance Winter; Cameron Marshall; Jason Sechrest; and Chris Green.

But the fun’s not over yet, kids. Tonight superstar Mark Dalton returns to L.A. for the first time in three years. Taking a break from his Busting Out All Over comeback tour, Dalton will close out the Forest Men month at Micky’s. We all know where Mark has been, and we’re all glad he’s back. We’re hearing he will do a one-hour appearance starting at 8 pm that will feature a live on-stage chat with Scotty B. There will also be video giveaways and a special live erotic show followed by an autograph session. Suite 703 exclusive Dempsey Stearns, newbie Todd Martin and AVN Hall of Famer Sharon Kane will open the night. Oh, and Miss Forest will serve as special guest host. Have fun, guys!

News: Mark Dalton Plugs Tour on Radio Show

In case you haven’t heard, Mark Dalton is busting out all over. Or at least that’s the title of his new dance tour, which kicked off in New York City last weekend. The porn superstar flew into town from Texas to shake his moneymaker at Splash on Friday night, then it was back home for a show on Saturday at the Bonham Exchange in San Antonio. These were his first live appearances in three years, so no wonder they caused a fuss. But before he took to his go-go box, the 29-year-old bodybuilder stopped by The Derek and Romaine Show on Sirius OutQ 109.

Dalton gave a brief but fun interview (and we know the guy has a lot to say because he gave his very first post-prison sit-down to VincentLambert.com), and topics of conversation ranged from Mark’s spray-on tan to his many new tattoos (which he got in Miami, not jail!). Romaine seemed to be especially taken with one of a cute little bunny rabbit on Dalton’s right arm. (After the show, Mark gave us a closer look and revealed that the word inscribed inside the bunny is his three-year-old daughter’s name.) Of course Derek and Romaine got around to questioning Dalton about his time in prison (“The food and company sucked,” he said) and whether he plans a return to on-screen sex work (“I’m a good boy,” he said. “It’s just not my thing.” Sorry, guys!).

Then, after taking off his shirt (hawt!) and posing for some pictures, Dalton was off, returning to his hotel to rest up for that night’s gig at Splash, where he got a respectable turnout (although the two drug dealers we watched get arrested on the sidewalk outside were less than respectable, but that’s another post.
