News: Lucas Sued by Spunk Video Over BB Title

Gay adult film industry publication JRL is reporting that movie distributor/retailer Spunk Video has filed suit in federal court over rights to a bareback movie allegedly made by director Michael Lucas. Spunk producer Mike Brady says, “Michael Lucas produced a bareback movie and then refused to pay for it. He told the director to go sell it to someone else and we bought it.” The company claims that last month Lucas Distribution promoted a bareback DVD titled Raw Twinks in Czech that contained the same footage as a film Spunk had previously released as Nasty Piss Boys.

Lucas, who has been sued over a title before, is out of the country in South America but released a statement through his publicist. “Lucas Entertainment never had and does not have any intentions to produce bareback videos. Our company is also not concerned about Spunk Video’s motives to issue such a baseless press release.”

In the same release, the president and CEO of Lucas Entertainment is quoted as saying, “I’m not even remotely interested in reading Spunk Video’s press release, and Spunk Video is welcome to take any letter they have to any court they choose.”

These statements are consistent with what has always been a strong anti-bareback stance from Lucas and his New York–based company. More to come on this breaking story…
